Havana's Historian Calls to Break Knowledge Barriers

Havana, Cuba, Feb 17.- The Havana's Historian, Eusebio Leal, called on Friday to break the knowledge barriers to increase the academic exchanges in order to protect the existing desire for peace in many parts of the world.

It would be an additional pressure to keep the peace and virtue, Leal said during a conference at the Congress University 2012, which met for five days in Cuba with about 3,500 delegates from 65 countries.

Leal compared the current crisis in the great centers of power with the one Roman Empire lived during the third century when their armies could not contain the unrest of the peoples they enslaved.

Leal said that currently social networks limit the movement of knowledge on the Internet, referring to laws in the USA and Europe that seek to control the network.

The relationships in academia are intense, because you can share visions, Leal added, and then called to take care that the world of knowledge will not be overrun by consumption. (Prensa Latina).
